December 10

It was a busy weekend for Cobra Fitness with both gyms (Abu Dhabi and Bahrain) participating in competitions in Dubai and Bahrain. As detailed in our previous post Cobra Fitness Abu Dhabi went to the TK MMA & Fitness show at Dubai Muscle Show and Bahrain attended the 5th BMMAF competition.

Both events were successful for the Cobra Teams, Ayman, Khalid, Ismail and Jaures all got their wins in Dubai. Jaures stopped his opponent in the first round, after his opponent’s corner threw in the towel from his raw aggression and punishment. Another great victory for ‘The Crazy Cameroonian”

In Bahrain, Omar Karaki a 16-year-old rising star in the gym got a win in his debut boxing fight. In his second fight despite not getting the nod, he impressed everyone in a close fought decision in his first fight in the adult MMA ranks.

Furthermore, Cobra Bahrain had lots of success in the submission grappling competition with our competitors claiming 6 medals from 7. Great effort from everybody, with some of the boys competing for the first time. A special mention to Ahmed Janahi who finished his opponent with a guillotine, despite being a belt lower than him in traditional BJJ.
